Designs must be no more than four colours. Black and white both count, but if you count the base colour of the tee, that gives you one more to work with. Gradients are bad; solid colours only please.
It's also worth noting that we can't guarantee an exact match to the shirt colour you choose.
It's nice if you give people a feel for where on the shirt you think the design should go. It will give people a much better idea on how it will end up looking. We can print designs up to a maximum of around A3. Designs should not be positioned across any seams in the shirt.
You can design your tee in any program you like. If you win the competition we'll expect that you've got a higher quality version of the design ready go to so make sure that you've got the original digital artwork safely tucked away on your hard drive, just in case. If you're not using vector graphics make sure your design has a resolution of at least 200dpi at full size.

The design must be your own work. If we catch you submitting ripped off work there will be hell to pay.
Trade marks, company logos, etc won't be accepted. Neither will we accept designs that look like a logo or brand, whether it's a real logo/brand or not. We also won't accept a straight 'slogan' tee. There must be a reasonable level of artistic merit. We're all about good design and quality illustration, so get thinkin' and doin' kiddo.
The images you submit are expected to be of a high quality. Your submission won't be rejected based on the design (after all, that's for the people to judge), however if the images of your design are poor quality it won't be accepted. Some examples of things that will probably get your submission rejected are distortion, non-solid or noisy colours or a lack of anti-aliasing.
Make sure you've had a quick read of the design guidelines before you submit your design to ensure we can accept it.
Oops, you need to be logged in to submit a design. Haven't joined up yet? It's quick and painless.
