What is Without Pockets?
Without Pockets is an Australian t-shirt design competition run by a guy named Simon (who is helped out by a couple of his mates.)
It occurred to Simon a while back that people are getting pickier and pickier about the stuff they buy. Customisation is the name of the game and people love it when they can purchase something that has a personal element - this is never more true than with clothing.
As well as that, Simon loves a great tee. He also noticed how many people were making really awesome tees of their own... customised to the max. As these realisations collided, Without Pockets was conceived.
How do I update my details or change my password?
To update your details, first make sure you are logged in. Then, simply click on your username to the bottom left of the Without Pockets logo. There you'll find a link at the top of the page you can use to edit your profile. There you can update all your details including your password.
Submissions
How does this all work?
There are a few steps in the whole process at withoutpockets.com.
It all starts off with you submitting a design to the competition.
Once you've submitted a design and it's accepted into the competition, it goes up on the submissions page.
This is your cue to go mad telling all your friends to go vote for your design (and any others they like or don't like while they're there).
All members of Without Pockets will be able to vote for your design for 14 days.
Approximately once a month we will go through the designs that have finished being voted on and choose one or more of the highest scoring designs to be printed onto shirts.
If your design scores well and is chosen as a winning design we will contact you and arrange for you to get your $1,500 in cash and prizes. At the same time we'll be madly running around arranging to have your design printed onto tees so that people can buy it and use your tee to cover their naked torsos.
What are the rules?
The rules for the competition are pretty simple. Just have a read over the design guidelines on the submission page before you make your design and read the Terms and Conditions before submitting. So long as you follow the guidelines and agree to the Terms and Conditions your design should be accepted and you'll be in the running to win $750 cash and a $750 voucher to spend on new tees at withoutpockets.com.
What score did my design get?
At present we don't release the score that each design gets.
How are winning designs chosen?
Without Pockets is all about the people. That's you! Without you we wouldn't have a clue what designs to choose. That's why the first and most important thing we look at when choosing the winners is how well the design scored. Although a design's score is a very big part of how we decide who wins, it's certainly not the only factor we consider. Other things we consider include:
- the number of comments (and how many people made them)
- what the comments say
- the distribution of votes over time, and
- web traffic statistics for the design.
Finally, we also have opinions of our own, so we use them as well.
Is there a limit to how many designs I can submit?
Nope, none whatsoever. Submit as many as you like.

How long will it take to get my shirt?
Well, that all depends. If you're in Australia you'll usually be able to cover your nakedness within about 5 days. If you live in the middle of nowhere you might find it takes a touch longer.
If your tee is taking a leap and immigrating to another country it should arrive at its new home in around two weeks.
What happens if something goes horribly wrong with my order and I need to return a tee?
The Queensland Government, specifically the Office of Fair Trading, provides significant information for consumers of products sold from within this fine state.
We really do take pride in what we do. We have a small team of people and qualified mannequins to check tees when they arrive in our hands and check them again against your order before posting them to their new owners. However, in this crazy world, things can go wrong. In the interest of pessimism, check out the two questions below which tell you when we accept returns and what to do if something needs returning.
What if my tee arrives damaged?
Forgive us. Drop us a line to let us know how we've wronged you, return it to us immediately and we will refund your money or exchange your tee. The choice would be yours.
What if my tee doesn't fit?
We would hope that you have done as all good mannequins do and measure up using our sizing information. If, however, you have under- (or over-) estimated your torso, we will try to help. Again, drop us a line to let us know so we can see if there's a better size for you in stock. When we receive your returned tee in a top-notch condition (and we'll be the judge of that), we will send you a replacement. This will all depend on stock levels (and perhaps our mood, too).
We will only replace tees for in correct sizing with the same style tee and only if (a) you contacted us first, (b) the tee is in perfect condition, and (c) we have stock.
