Ive been playing with what you can take away from an image, while keeping it instantly recognizable, this is the result! All comments are welcome, let me know what you think.
the 'heaviness' of the silhouette detracts from the overall picture. I feel i'm staring at an inkblot and not taking in the whole design. I can see what you're trying to accomplish here, but perhaps this would seem more remarkable if the silhouetted character were another colour.
...with Ooze. It is intantly recognizable, so you accomplished your goal, there. I think it just needs recentering and it would be fine.
but I agree with the afforementioned issue, the silhouette is just too heavy for the design. It is very nice though, might I suggest maybe giving the silhouette the same treatment you did the guitar body, and just giving the silhouette a general outline instead, and fade it in and out in parts so its not a full outline but several suggestive parts of an outline, that will make the mind create an image. That's one of my favourite things about design, letting someone's imagination build an image.
the figure i like, very emotive. i say resolve the contrast issue but keep the heavier work rather than do it all like the guitar.
